Tyson Fury annihilated Deontay Wilder during their second meeting in February earlier this year. “The Bronze Bomber” still has a chance at redemption. The contract which the two heavyweights signed had a rematch clause in it. Wilder had initially activated the same and set up the trilogy for June.

The audience, however, seemed more interested in an all-Brit unification bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. On one hand, Fury had to take care of Wilder, while his British counterpart had his mandatory defense against Kubrat Pulev. For Fury and AJ to meet while they are still necessarily champions, Pulev and Wilder will have to step aside.

Although there is no news of Pulev’s intentions to step aside, the same doesn’t apply to “The Bronze Bomber”.

Deontay Wilder demanded $10 million to step aside from trilogy fight against Tyson Fury

As per media reports, Deontay Wilder is more than happy to step aside from the path of his former foe, Tyson Fury. All he wants is $10 million and a guarantee that he will fight the winner of Fury vs AJ.

“The Gypsy King” is, however, in no mood to give him either. He is instead ready to beat him again and then look for a unification bout.

Well, Wilder’s got a rematch clause. Some newspaper reported that he wants 10 million to step aside,” Fury said while he was on Instagram Live with Mark Wright.

I’m not paying him no money to step aside. I’d rather take his skull again. I’ll break him in the ring and then I’ll get him out the way. I wouldn’t pay him 2 million to step aside. I’d rather give him a battering again,” Fury added.

Fury wants no unfinished business heading into the next year. He wants to keep his focus solely on being the lone standing champion in the world of heavyweight boxing.

“I’ll take him out at the end of the year,” he said. “I’ll go into 2021 with the biggest fight in boxing history between two undefeated British heavyweights, me and AJ and we’re gonna battle it out for all the gold.”

Judging by the previous performance of the Fury and Wilder in their two encounters, the former will be the clear favorite heading into the trilogy. However, fighting is an unexpected sport, especially when the pugilists are both heavyweights.

Fans hoping for an all-Brit showdown should keep their fingers crossed that both Fury and Joshua win their respective fights.
