“I’m on Two Feet” – Anthony Joshua Provides an Update on His Knee

Anthony Joshua injured knee

In a recent interview, heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua provided an update on his previously injured knee.

In June, Joshua busted his knee while running through the woods. The British boxer was then seen on crutches at a BLM protest. Fans worried about Joshua’s health, but the boxer assured that he will be fine soon.

“Respect for the supporters concerned about my leg. I bust my knee running miles in the woods. Doc said to take all weight off it for two/three weeks. Still training, still active, still punching. Two weeks more to go, then it’s off,” Joshua said in June. Read the full story here.

Anthony Joshua claims that his knee has recovered

Joshua now claims that his knee has fully recovered. He said that he is fully training for his upcoming fight.

“The knee is as good as it can be,” Joshua told Sky Sports. “I am in full training. I didn’t stop training even when I had the knee [injury].”

Unlike before, Joshua said that he is throwing punches while standing up. As of now, he is looking for sparring partners to train.

“I’m sure many of my social media followers saw me on the heavy bag sitting down. I’m standing up now. I’m on two feet and I’m sure we can start sparring, so I’ll be looking for some sparring partners in about a week or two to start training camp.”

Joshua last fought in December 2019. He defeated former champion Andy Ruiz Jr. and recaptured his lost belts. He was then scheduled to fight Kubrat Pulev in June. Nevertheless, the bout got postponed because of the pandemic. The fight is now being targeted for December of this year.

Should Joshua get past Pulev, he is likely to face off against fellow Britisher, Tyson Fury.
