In a recent episode of his podcast Hotboxin’, along with guest musician J Balvin, Tyson opened up about living the life of a gangster. He then revealed the moves he would make if he continued down this path pointing out what constitutes a ‘gangster’.

You know, you have to be a guy that won all the women and girls, but just the style and lifestyle to know, ‘I’m secured for life until I die.’ If I’m gonna make better moves, most gangsters that don’t go to jail become politicians or entrepreneurs. The former champion often did stints in juvenile detention centers for committing petty crimes like stealing. This was due to a negligent mother and absent father leaving a young Tyson alone, all by himself. This, combined with his tough neighborhood only made it harder for Tyson not to engage in a life of crime.

However, during his time in juvenile detention centers, Tyson discovered his passion for boxing. Under the guidance of renowned trainer Cus D’Amato, he was transformed from a troubled youth to a disciplined athlete. Following this, ‘Iron’ Mike would see a meteoric rise in his fame and fortune becoming one of the best boxers in the world. However, the trappings of success took their toll, and Tyson’s personal life became entangled in a web of controversy and self-destructive behavior. Despite this, he has emerged as a figure of redemption openly addressing his struggles, addiction, and past wrongdoings.
