Amanda Serrano is one of those few female boxers who has showcased an exuberant stint in the sport. In her exemplary boxing run, Serrano has fought some stout contenders and even overpowered most of them. For now, she is the unified featherweight queen, looking to move up a weight class. Her prime reason to do so is to secure a momentous fight against Katie Taylor.
A few days back, Katie Taylor expressed her interest in fighting the Puerto Rican boxer in the future. Taylor’s statement’s reached Serrano and she couldn’t hold back while addressing the whole scenario on her Twitter handle.
She wrote, “What’s honorable about this fight is that both myself & Katie obviously have the upmost respect for eachother. Unlike what Some media & fans say. I’m sure this fight Will happen & like she said it’s truly a 50/50 fight. The best on that night will win & the fans for sure.”

The ‘Real Deal’ has proved her mettle in the 126-pound weight class with her outstanding performances. She recently fought against Daniela Bermudez, thus claiming a vicious knockout victory in round 10.
With this win, Serrano improved her pro-boxing record to 40-1-1. Out of all her wins, a stupendous 30 has arrived via T/KO. That said, she is a powerful prospect at this weight class and Serrano just wants to continue her momentum in a different weight class now.
Especially since she’s interested in fighting Taylor, she’ll unquestionably have to move up to lightweight as ‘The Bray Bomber’ won’t come down to her weight class.
