‘In a Lot of Pain’: World Champion Boxer Opens Up About Hardships Following Surgery

Giving her fans a sort of relief and hope, boxing champion Ebanie Bridges, posted a health update on Twitter on today’s morning. During her last fight before surgery with Shannon O’Connell, Bantamweight champion Bridges was suffering from a serious hand injury. After the fight, she was admitted to the hospital and had the needful surgery. While going through exorbitant pain and multiple surgeries, Bridge’s new post put some light on her health updates.
Ebanie Bridges is quite active and open on social media. Being in the hospital for a couple of days, she updated her fans about how things are going. From her swollen hand to how the surgery was done, everything she shared with her fans.

Ebanie Bridges on problems post surgery
Before the anticipated fight with O’Connell, Bridges announced her injury. It was her fist, which was swollen like a ball and it looked horrendous. But with a high spirit, Bridges entered into the bout with O’Connel and got her deserving reward. With a TKO, Bridges was able to defeat her opponent and defend her IBF Bantamweight title and was soon rushed to the hospital after the match.

She said, “They take bone from my hip and fuse my joints together.” It was a very intensive procedure and involved multiple small surgeries.
But everything is fine now. Surgery is done and the ‘Blonde Bomber’ is out of danger. But the hardship is not over yet. Post surgery Bridges complained about pain and discomfort.
From the hospital bed, she tweeted, “Happy Monday. I’ve been very quiet obviously I am in a lot of pain both In my hand and hip due to my surgery also on a lot of pain killers.” Yes, it was extremely painful, but the pain was worth it and she was put under strong painkillers to tackle it. She also expressed a new problem which is typing with her left hand and said, “And tbh it’s f***en annoying typing with just my left hand”.

Ebanie Bridges is convalescing
The ‘Blonde Bomber’ is out of the ring for a few days now, for obvious reasons. But after today’s post, it may be not far away for Bridges to enter the ring again. Also, she did not forget to thank her supporters and fans. She said, “But thank you for the ongoing love and support guys have a blessed day”.

There is always a risk of injuries in combat sports, such as boxing. But champions always come back stronger. We can say that Ebanie Bridges is a true gem of boxing who still fought even when she was in excruciating pain. We hope she becomes fully fit soon and enters the ring with dominance.
