Mike Tyson recently celebrated his 54th birthday. It has been nearly 15 years since he competed in the boxing ring and almost 14 if one includes his exhibition bouts against Corey ‘T-Rex’ Sanders. However, if fans look at one of the many videos he is posting on social media the initial assumption would be that he has not missed a step and is still an active competitor.

Mike Tyson gears up for a potential comeback

‘Iron’ Mike began teasing a comeback in May. He revealed that he was working out as he wanted to take part in charity exhibitions. A glance at the latest video makes his previous clips look like mere warm-ups. The 54-year-old is cranking it up, providing fans a glimpse of his vicious power and giving them hope that he will return for a professional bout.

In the clip, fans get a dramatic presentation of the former Heavyweight Champion lacing up his boots. Then he sets his gloves in place and steps into the ring. We see him duck a one-two combination before stepping in and showing us that he has still got it. 

‘Iron’ pummels a bag with a three punch combination. The clip then cuts to him, punching his coach who has heavy padding on his torso. It isn’t just his vicious punches that amaze viewers, but even his razor-sharp movements are a sight to behold. At one point, Raphael Cordeiro seems to stagger back onto the ropes of the practice boxing ring.

Besides the big bag and sparring with his coach, Tyson even uses the speed bag to get sharper.

Mike Tyson has not revealed who he will fight in his exhibitions. Prominent names like Evander Holyfield and Tyson Fury did the rounds. However, ‘The Real Deal’ has said Tyson would need to ask him for the bout. Meanwhile, ‘The Gypsy King’ backed out late last month after being unhappy with negotiations
