Billy Joe Saunders ranks among the most terrifying boxing talents of all time. Over the course of his prolonged career, the Brit has overpowered every opponent he’s faced to retain his undefeated track record. But is Billy Joe Saunders really a champion?
As of now, ‘Superb’ holds the WBO super-middleweight title under his wing. He secured a decision win against Shefat Isufi in 2019 to claim the gold. Subsequently, the 31-year-old has defended this belt twice until now, thus establishing his legacy in the 168-pound weight class.

Prior to stepping up in the super-middleweight landscape, Saunders was an elite middleweight. In fact, he was a champion at the middleweight division too. The Gypsy boxer held the WBO title from 2015 to 2017.

Right from his debut in 2009, until today, ‘Superb’ has switched gears from the middleweight and super-middleweight division. Moreover, he’s faced no problem in cutting or gaining weight to make himself viable for a fight at his preferred weight class. This has helped him claim gold easily.

Also, the 31-year-old Hertfordshire native, who has a lot of time left in his career, wants to win even more belts and become undisputed. Considering that, it’ll be interesting to see how the undefeated boxing stalwart molds his career from hereon.
