Shakur Stevenson touted to face the winner of Haney vs Lomachenko

Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum has suggested that former unified super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson, might be the next to face the winner of Haney vs Lomachenko.

In an interview with FightHub TV, Arum praised Stevenson’s talents and said that the fight he had always wanted to see in the lightweight division was between him and one of the two top fighters. While acknowledging the presence of other top lightweights like Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis, Arum believes that Stevenson has proven himself to be an exceptional talent.

The lightweight division is really loaded with good fighters, and the fight that I always wanted to see was either Haney or Loma against Shakur Stevenson. Again, [Ryan] Garcia and Tank Davis are terrific lightweights, and they’re in the mix. The kid that is waiting in the wings that has proven himself as so talented is Shakur.” he said.
