“It Means a Lot to Anthony Joshua” – Eddie Hearn Campaigns for Tyson Fury Fight
Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury recently came forward saying Anthony Joshua should vacate his WBO title for them to fight next. The former believes if Joshua gets past his current opponent, he would have to face the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs Dereck Chisora.
On being asked about his thoughts on Fury’s statement, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn said, “I think what his statement of the next fight for Usyk will be for the WBO heavyweight world title. Yeah, I think that’s correct. I think that there’s been a lot of talk about give up this belt, give up that belt.

“I can’t stress how many times I’ve said, the aim for Anthony Joshua, is to be the undisputed heavyweight world champion. Now, will a belt get in the way of him fighting Tyson Fury next? Probably not.
“So, would he vacate a belt and fight Tyson Fury next? Yes, I believe he would, if he had to. But would he rather maintain all the belts? One million percent. And I know that Fury says ‘I’ve had all the belts.’ Well, I don’t care, you’ve never been undisputed, that’s a crown. I hope that means something to people, because it means a lot to Anthony Joshua,” he added.

Will a bout between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally happen?
Tyson Fury (31-0-1, 21 KOs) versus Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) is a fight that the fans have been wanting to see for a very long time. The bout was supposed to happen much earlier. However, it could not come through due to Fury’s two and a half-year long hiatus from boxing.
Previously, Fury beat Deontay Wilder in the rematch to win the WBC title. Also, Joshua won his titles back from Andy Ruiz in a rematch. This is the best time for the bout, as the two share major heavyweight titles. So, a title unification bout between the two British giants could be record-breaking at the box office.
