“It’s a Shame”: Despite Mike Tyson’s Comeback in Francis Ngannou’s Training Camp, Fans Still Not Confident About Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Against Tyson Fury

Francis Ngannou plans to debut in boxing next month in Saudi Arabia. The former UFC heavyweight champion will go up against Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion. Fury, who recently beat Derek Chisora in December and had often hinted at fighting Ngannou. The battle will happen on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mike Tyson has joined Ngannou’s PFL heavyweight training camp to prepare him for the debut.

However, ‘Iron Mike’ recently went to Amsterdam for a fans meet and greet at his coffee shop; hence, he was not present in Ngannou’s training camp for that period. Now, he is back in full force training ‘The Predator’ for his bout against ‘The Gypsy King.’ Tyson recently attended Ngannou’s open workout in Las Vegas. A clip posted by Fight Hub gives a sneak peek into their training. However, fans are disappointed with Francis’ sparring session.

Despite the coaching of Mike Tyson, fans foresee a defeat for Ngannou

In the video, ‘The Predator’ is sparring in front of ‘Kid Dynamite.’ Mike is guiding him on how to crush Fury with body shots. Popularly, Ngannou has a strong UFC background with 10 KO/TKO wins in seven years. Seven of these wins happened in less than two minutes. However, he now faces Tyson Fury, an experienced boxer with a clean 34-fight record.

Fury also boasts 24 knockout wins and recently defended his WBC heavyweight title with a 10th-round TKO against Derek Chisora. Ngannou believes Mike Tyson’s coaching will improve his boxing skills. However, fans have mixed reactions to Francis Ngannou’s upcoming fight with Tyson Fury.

Some are concerned about Ngannou’s footwork and speed, noting that he has only been training in boxing for a short time and suggesting that a well-prepared Fury will easily outmaneuver him. As a fan writes, “He has to improve his footwork a lot and he looks slow but I guess you can’t ask for much more from someone who has been training boxing at a high level for such a short time. Fury will play with him if he has prepared seriously.”

Then, another user talked about how there’s hope since anybody will have a fighting chance in the ring with ‘Iron Mike’ as their trainer. The fan quips, “Look who’s training him? Even I will feel like i have a chance with Mike my trainer.”

There are some who predict that Tyson Fury will strategically draw out the fight to tire Ngannou. A fan opined, “Got a feel Tyson gonna carry this till later rounds and exhaust Francis.”

Furthermore, many believe will Ngannou will be easily exhausted in the ring. As a user said, “No chance. He is gassed after the first round.”

Then, some fans expressed disappointment in Fury for taking on what they see as an inferior opponent, criticizing Ngannou’s boxing skills and questioning the legitimacy of the match. A fan wrote, “It’s a shame that Fury as a champion he will be fighting a non-boxer who cannot even throw a decent punch.”
