Fighting or not, Ryan Garcia can’t seem to stop making the headlines! Just a few days ago, the bombshell about his positive drug test shook the entire boxing world. The people who couldn’t stop praising the Victorville native for his breakthrough victory over Devin Haney have now started condemning the 25-year-old every chance they get. And that includes Caleb Plant!

However, the Victorville native wasn’t going to sit still and let a couple of positive tests ruin what he has built. So, the 25-year-old boxer turned his sights onto VADA itself! In an attempt to tarnish their reputation, Garcia highlighted Haney’s close relationship with Victor Conte, who works closely with VADA. Garcia said in a social media post, “I hear Devin Haney, he’s connected to Victor Conte, who’s connected to VADA, real close… Victor Conte, who’s known for getting caught for cheating.”

It didn’t just end there! Garcia’s mother took to Instagram on May 2, sharing four VADA test results in the lead up to the fight. Lisa Garcia wrote, “All of a sudden on 4/19 and 4/20 small amounts of ‘PED’ were found in Ryan’s Urine sample. When since 2/24 to 4/24 all Ryan’s tests were negative? The devil is a liar.” She further added, “Our son did not take PED’s he does not need too! Ryan has a God given left hook, right lead and lightning speed! He has God talent who needs PED’s?”

However, these statements from Garcia and his family failed to convince Caleb Plant of Garcia’s innocence. In a tweet dated May 2, Plant wrote, “It’s not a pregnancy test is ALL I’m saying. You don’t pi*s on it and it tells you right away, you test throughout camp. If it comes back + then the fight is off. Once you get to the fight week location if you test the day before it’s going to take like 72hrs to get back.”

Even still, Garcia’s corner didn’t hold back their attacks on VADA, as Henry Garcia took to social media highlighting an interesting relationship between Devin Haney and Victor Conte.

While sharing a snippet from Boxing Scene’s report that spoke about the accusations on Victor Conte for having a close relationship with the founder of VADA, Dr. Margaret Goodman, Henry Garcia didn’t hold back from speaking his mind. He wrote, “Snac is part of Victor Conte, they sponsor Devin Haney, Who is part of Vada testing?”

Henry reignited the controversy involving the referee during the Garcia-Haney fight. He wrote, “Who was the referee when Devin fought Loma? Harvey Dock. Now who was the referee for Devin Vs. Ryan? Harvey Dock. Yikes this is scary people.” He went on to justify his son’s win over Haney, and how people seem to be on a mission to take away Garcia’s hard work.

As big as Garcia’s win over Devin Haney was, the positive test result from the fight seems to have become even bigger. Ryan Garcia has the opportunity to get his B-Samples tested and get his name cleared from this controversy. However, only time will tell what’s in store for the fighter. Do you think Haney should be given his zero back?
