That said, his contest against Terrell Gausha will be important for his resume. Lubin appears confident of winning, as he claims to have learned a lot from his defeat against Jermell Charlo.

Erickson Lubin has come a long way from the defeat

Before headlining Showtime’s event this Saturday, Lubin connected with Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) to talk about several things. The infamous defeat against Charlo was one of them.

Talking about it, Lubin said, “It was a big learning lesson for me. I was able to get back to the drawing board, not let it discourage me, and you know I bounced back in a major way.”

No wonder his return was a massive one. Taking the loss, Lubin returned in 2018 and vanquished Silverio Ortiz via knockout. He followed it up with three back-to-back wins against Ishe Smith, Zakaria Attou, and Nathaniel Gallimore in 2019.

His upcoming fight against Terrell Gausha might not be an easy one. Gausha is an equally alarming contender, boasting a pro record of 21-1-1.

Gausha is also a technical elite who primes as the fight heads into the later rounds. It is no surprise that he can offer a lot of new elements into the mix.

Meanwhile, Lubin is known for his knockout power. He can shut down his rivals at any point and will hunt for a knockout this weekend. Whatever the outcome, boxing fans are in for a treat.
