Former unified lightweight champion, Vasyl Lomachenko, isn’t holding back in throwing verbal heat at the current lightweight champions. After suffering a lopsided loss to Teofimo Lopez in October, ‘The Matrix’ is eyeing a return to action. Meanwhile, he ridiculed Ryan Garcia and his possible fight against Manny Pacquiao, further intensifying the 135 lbs roster.

While it could turn into an epic 135 lbs matchup between him and Garcia, Lomachenko has revealed that the fight will remain off-canvas for now. He recently connected with SNOWQUEENLA and talked about the WBC Interim lightweight champion.

Predicting a fight against ‘KingRy’, Vasyl Lomachenko said, “Ryan, is with goldenboy and fights on DAZN. I doubt Garcia and goldenboy would fight me right now.”

Meanwhile, he also pinched Garcia on the ‘Pac-Man’ fight and said, “It was just hype (Garcia vs Pacquiao), all hype.”

However, Ryan Garcia seemed to pour it all into settling a fight against Manny Pacquiao. He teased the fight via social media and talked about it on umpteen interviews. But the rumours faded away with time and Ryan Garcia is back to the 135bs unit, without ‘Pac-Man’ on his radar.

That said, Vasyl Lomachenko is also out of a relevant contender. The rematch with Teofimo Lopez isn’t happening, and Devin Haney is also rumored to fight Linares ahead. So, Lomachenko and Garcia can possibly collide to remain relevant and continue the showdown at 135 lbs.

Ryan Garcia vs Vasyl Lomachenko- Will the fight ever happen?

‘KingRy’ has expressed his desire in facing WBA titleholder Gervonta Davis, prior to his interest in Pacquiao. So, that’s the matchup that can bring Garcia to action. He hasn’t spoken about Lomachenko and doesn’t seem to target the fight.

Lomachenko is one of the most reputed lightweights of all time. And a win against him can be massive, even at this stage. If Garcia fails to bag any of the current lightweight champions on his next fight, he can consider ‘Loma’ as a valid option.

Do you think Vasyl Lomachenko and Ryan Garcia should test themselves against each other?
