It is said that aged wine knows its barrel the best. Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is no different. If there is one thing that the former champ is extremely knowledgeable about, it’s the sport that made him an icon. Moreover, Tyson has a penchant for analyzing the game and sharing his inputs. He recently shared his thoughts on Devin Haney’s performance against George Kambosos Jr.

Tyson was talking at his ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson‘ podcast co-hosted by Sebastian Joseph Day. Moreover, comedian Bill Maher was present as a guest for the episode. In conversation, Tyson was asked about Haney vs Kambosos Jr. fight.

In response, Tyson mentioned that he was impressed with Haney’s performance. He said, “I just thought Devin won pretty easy. Very smart didn’t take many chances. It was just very smart.”

Additionally, he was asked to suggest the perfect future opponent for Haney. Tyson responded by saying, “Personally, he wants to fight Tank. I want to see him fight, what’s homeboy’s name? Garcia, Garcia is a bad dude.”

In fact, Tyson also added that both Haney and Garcia stay at the same weight range and would be an exciting matchup.

In an interview with TMZ, Tyson was asked about dealing with overzealous fans. ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet’ stated that they should only be dealt with love and compassion. Moreover, the former champ also added that a warm embrace is the best way to deal with them.

It is worth noting that Tyson’s statement is synonymous with his transition from a formidable heavyweight to an individual giving out ‘chilled-out grandpa’ vibes.
