Jake Paul is readying himself for a spanking new avatar. The boxing counter culturist is breaking one barrier after another. On 29th October, he packed off a UFC legend. Now awaiting the next prey, Jake is also focusing on the business end of the sweet science. He opened up about deliberating on women’s boxing next year and shaping it more toward a legacy-oriented sport, the way men’s boxing currently works.

Jake Paul is in Florida. He is attending the World Boxing Association (WBA)’s centennial convention as a guest speaker. Held in Orlando, Florida, the gathering at Casino Royale Hotel began on 11th December and will wind up by tomorrow.

When his turn came, The Problem Child spoke about his boxing journey and how it changed his life. He specified a yearning for being more potent without the ring than within.

His speech gradually docked at women’s boxing. Still unhappy about his protégé Amanda Serrano’s split decision defeat at the hands of Katie Taylor, Paul said, “…If I have anything to do with it, 2023 is going to be an even bigger year for women’s boxing…”

He rationalized that big money is a valid consideration given the stage where women’s boxing stands today, “…What that fight showed us is that these ladies deserve even bigger paydays. And after one round, it was more entertaining that a Floyd Mayweather fight…”

Through his Most Valuable Promotions, Jake Paul wants to increase visibility for female boxers and cultivate a new generation of intriguing and diverse talent.

A trilogy in the offing

Twenty-five-year-old Jake Paul has established a successful media empire. With over 70 million people following him online, there are few parallels today.

Despite several questions raised over the choice of opponents, with a no-loss record against some of the top names, Jake Paul is steadily establishing himself as a significant player in the sport.

Both Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano won $1 million. With critics and fans declaring their fight as the best this year, calls for a rematch ascended. So much so that the possibility of a trilogy, first for women, seems imminent.

During an interview, some two days before the Taylor – Serrano fight, Jake Paul said, “I had a dream about a trilogy series that the first fight is so good and so brutal and so entertaining that they have to do a rematch, “A different winner the second time and then the third one settles it all. I don’t know; we might be here for the next couple of years.”

At the convention, he will participate in several events and address the audience on the current situation of boxing.
