“It’s gone on a bit too long”-Dillian Whyte
“This fight’s long overdue, it’s gone on a bit too long. You know, with Pulev the fight’s on and then he pulls out. It is what it is – it’s just a mandatory fight. It’s a mandatory fight, that’s all it is. It’s not a fight you would take voluntarily, it’s a mandatory fight because Pulev doesn’t bring much to the table really, does he?. Anthony Joshua is a big draw and he draws people out, so it’s the Joshua show”. Said Whyte to WilliamHill
Pulev is considered the underdog in the fight. Many experts feel Pulev stands no chance against Joshua. However, the Bulgarian has amassed a record of (28-1). Pulev has defeated top fighters such as Hughie Fury, Bogdan Dinu, and Rydell Booker in the last 2 years.

There have been talks of Pulev accepting a step-aside deal so that Joshua can face Fury for the unification. Pulev was quick to squash these rumors and assured fans he won’t be stepping aside.
“I’m hungry for battle and want to be the one to unite all the belts. I see how they are afraid of me and looking for options to make sure they fight with someone else before then. I can’t believe this is not the behavior of a real-world champion” said Pulev to World Boxing News
Pulev might be an underdog but he’ll certainly pose a serious threat to Anthony Joshua.
