He will battle-out the pound-for-pound king of boxing, Canelo Alvarez, in a massive title-unification fight on May 8. But it seems the Brit over pushed himself and succumbed to primal flu while in preparations for this fight.

It’s a shame that someone has caught the flu the other day. I’m gutted about that. But it happens. It won’t beat us we’ve got all the, he’s got the right medication and we’re getting through it and there’s gonna be no excuses.”

Although Tibbs seemed disheartened by Saunders falling ill, he still assured fans that his fighter would get back on track with no excuses.

The undefeated Saunders is ecstatic to become the undisputed king of super-middleweights. However, he’ll have to vanquish the Mexican pugilist to realize his ultimate dream.

Furthermore, Saunders doesn’t wish to budge an inch from his aim and wants to hand Alvarez his second loss. To achieve this win over the face of boxing, he has already immersed himself in rigorous workout sessions.
