In the pre-fight press conference, a reporter asked Rahman Jr. about the challenge of facing Paul and fighting at cruiserweight for the first time in his career. “I’m not worried about the weight. The weight is not a factor. I fought at 200 pounds for years in the amateurs, I haven’t fought there as a pro yet but I’m looking forward to bringing back the amateur days and bringing back even some of the things I was doing in the amateurs that I haven’t done in the pros. ”  He told the reporter, who then asked Paul whether he took exception to that comment.

Rahman then stated that Paul was a “Disney Boy” who has “beat up nobody” taking shots at Paul’s undefeated record. ” You ain’t beat up nobody, anybody can get to 5-0 beating nobodies.” Said Rahman Jr.
