“I’ve been hitting the mitt for the last week. That’s been tough, my body’s really jacked up. It’s been sore from hitting the mitt. But I’ve been working out. I’ve been trying to get into boxing shape to be able to box 3 or 4 round exhibitions for some charity and stuff,” said ‘Iron.’

‘Iron’ plans to use the money from these exhibitions to help the homeless and drug-affected.

“I do around 2 hours and the bike and I do the treadmill for an hour. Then a lightweight of 300 or 250 reps. I hit the mitts for 25 to 30 minutes.”

He spoke about working out earlier as well. This was on an episode of ‘Safe distance with Mike.’

Here he said, “Every day I’m working out. I’m getting up every day. I do an hour on my bike, then I do an hour on my treadmill, then I do some light weights. I try to get some running in.”

In the same episode, he also delivered a shocker claiming he could never handle being a fighter.

Tyson’s comeback does contradict that statement. However, an exhibition will be light-hearted and something to just entertain the fans. Given his reputation, it may not be farfetched to assume ‘Iron’ may go for a mean knockout.

He appeared to hold back the last time. These exhibition bouts were nearly 14 years ago against Corey ‘T-Rex’ Sanders. On that occasion, ‘Iron’ had been retired for a year and came back to help pay off his debts. He stated that the money wouldn’t help, but he is going to feel better as he will not be depressed.

Who would you like to see Mike Tyson face if these proposed exhibition bouts go ahead?
