Alvarez made himself viable for a bout against Plant by annihilating Billy Joe Saunders in his previous outing. The Guadalajara boxer completely outclassed the Brit by giving him a beating of his life. The fight began well for Saunders, but Alvarez turned the tide in his favor by adapting the offensive mode.

Moving further, he gave some serious damage to ‘Superb’. And as a result, the bout concluded after round 8. This win has now left Canelo to go full-throttle against Caleb Plant as it’ll consist of all the super-middleweight titles on the line.
