Jake Paul is a man of his word. ‘The Problem Child’ began training for the MMA, following his row with Dana White. Paul even offered to retire from Boxing if the UFC president let him fight in the Octagon. Ahead of a potential MMA debut, Paul gave fans a glimpse of his workout.

In the video he posted, Jake is in a gym with a caged ring in the background. Paul had his hands wrapped as he delivered low kicks to a pad held by a trainer. Although Paul’s technique was not 100% accurate, ‘The Problem Child’ had good power behind his kicks.

Paul captioned the tweet, “1st day training kicks. Doubted every step of the way.. but kick down the doors of the doubters. @bellatormma @pflmma.” With the UFC out of the way for an MMA debut, Paul looked towards the PFL and Bellator to make a mark in the caged ring.

Did Jake Paul wrestle in High School? 

Both Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul have wrestling experience from their days in high school. “People seem to forget that I was a state wrestler, division one in Ohio. ” Paul said in an interview.

Although Paul does not have any credentials in any colleges such as Ohio State, there are plenty of videos online of Jake Paul wrestling in his high school days. His brother Logan Paul, on the other hand, is a highly accomplished wrestler.

‘The Maverick’ took fifth place at a state championship and went on to secure a place on the Ohio University wrestling team.

Is Jake Paul training with Khabib Nurmagomedov?

In the same interview, Paul also claimed that he would train with Javier Mendez, a top coach in the UFC, with fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov that have trained under him. “I’m going to go and get coached up by Javier Mendes, Team Khabib and that’s that.” Paul said.
