No matter whether you perceive Jake Paul as a serious boxer or not, the changes he has brought to women’s boxing in undeniable. And it looks like he is not stopping anytime soon. Just two weeks after producing a historic all-women’s boxing card at Madison Square Garden with Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor as headliners, MVP has taken another major step.

On Tuesday, ‘The Problem Child’ hit ‘X’ to announce five new signings aimed at strengthening the women’s roster. The latest signings bring in two world champions and three up-and-coming talents from various weight classes. Let’s dive right in and meet the newest signings.

The biggest women’s roster

MVP has made waves with two standout signings: WBA super-flyweight champion Jasmine Artiga and Australia’s IBF and WBO middleweight champion Desley Robinson. Artiga seized the WBA title earlier this year, having fought only once in 2024. She’s set to defend her title in just a few weeks against Linn Sandstrom. She’s in luck; MVP is stepping up to represent her in that fight, potentially leading to a bigger payday than usual. The Queensland native has been on a fierce streak since May 2024, dominating the competition with five consecutive victories and seizing the unified title.

Furthermore, the roster now also includes former WBA bantamweight champion Shannon Courtenay and Mexico’s former unified flyweight champion Yesica Nery Plata. Courtney, a well-known figure in Britain, went on a two-year hiatus in 2022 before making her comeback last year in a losing effort. However, earlier this year, she bounced back perfectly, defeating Bec Connolly. She would love to get her career back on track, and honestly, there could not be a better platform for her.

The newest addition to Jake Paul’s stable includes all kinds of current and former champions. However, the most exciting signing hasn’t even made her professional debut yet. Sa’Rai Brown-El, deemed the future of women’s boxing, can be a historic signing for MVP. At just 19, the flyweight has taken the amateur world by storm. Joining forces with MVP and training alongside Amanda Serrano, her path to greatness looks brighter than ever.

Jake Paul would love to tie down Brown-El to his roster for a considerable time. Eventually, allowing her to take over the current face of his women’s roster. Though ambitious, if the 19-year-old can capture even a fraction of the impact from Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor’s iconic bout, the investment in her potential will pay off handsomely.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jake Paul the unexpected hero women's boxing needed, or just a savvy promoter cashing in?

Jake Paul’s biggest success

Right after the Taylor-Serrano 3, ‘The Problem Child’ took to his ‘X’ to flaunt the numbers the event attracted. “ay attention…MVPs Taylor Serrano 3, an all women’s event, did bigger numbers in the US than the Stanley Cup finals. W,” he wrote, attaching a report, highlighting the event’s success.

Paul noted that the MSG event broke the official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ for the most world championship belts ever contested on a single card, 17 in total. Furthermore, the sold-out crowd generated a $2.63 million gate. Not only the highest for a women’s boxing event but for any female sporting event in MSG history. And as a cherry on top, the Taylor-Serrano 3 secured the second position on the list of the Top 2 Women’s Rated Sporting Events of 2025 (YTD).

With the newest addition, one thing is clear: Jake Paul will produce another all-women’s PPV soon enough. However, the involvement of Serrano and Taylor in that is in doubt. So, it seems like he is beefing up the women’s roster at the perfect time. And given the variety of fighters signed, if developed right, MVP can produce another historic event. What do you think?
