“There are no feelings attached. My own mother should be very careful if she has to get in the ring with me.” This is what Mike Tyson had stated boldly in the lead-up to the Jake Paul fight last year. Well, we all know how it went down in reality. Despite it being one of the most watched boxing matches ever, the fight was slow, Mike Tyson was gassed out, and Jake Paul failed to end it decisively.

In the fight. Tyson looked like a shell of his former self. The fight not only upset combat fans but also active boxers. One of them was Gervonta Davis, who went on one of his usual rants after the fight. He called Paul a “bozo” and mocked him for not being able to decisively defeat the boxing legend despite Tyson’s weaker appearance. Well, it looks like even after a few months, Tank still hasn’t forgiven the YouTuber for the fight.

Tank believes Jake Paul just couldn’t do it

In the recent episode of A Safe Place Podcast, the Baltimore native sat down with rapper Lil YachtyDuring the interview, Gervonta Davis once again claimed that the November 15th bout at the AT&T Stadium was a mistake and Paul should have avoided it. “I don’t think he should have fought Mike Tyson only because of who Mike Tyson is,” declared the 30-year-old.

According to him, at Tyson’s current age, there are “certain stuff you don’t do,” like getting back in the ring. As a former heavyweight champion with almost 60 professional fights, the Brooklyn native already has suffered a lot of damage to his head and body. In no way, returning to the ring at such an age was a good idea given his long career.

Davis once again ridiculed Jake Paul for his post-fight excuse, where Paul claimed he didn’t want to knock out Mike Tyson due to his age. “He said that he didn’t try to knock him out. Yes, you did. You just couldn’t get the knockout. He tried to knock him,” claimed Gervonta Davis furiously

The latest interview has once again kicked off a rivalry between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis that looked like it had simmered down a bit in the past few weeks.

After the Paul-Tyson fight, Tank not only mocked the YouTuber but also called him out for a fight. “I’ll beat the brakes off of him. When I catch him, uppercut, jab, left hook, uppercut then just watch,” wrote Tank.

However, rather than dismissing the challenge, Jake Paul surprised everyone and claimed that he would “be down. Let’s run it. I’d be super, super down,” for the fight. ‘El Gallo’ even took his turn to mock the WBA lightweight champion and got back at him. “Is there a height limit in boxing?” mocked The Problem Child pointing out the height difference between them.

With both fighters having an empty calendar after the first half of 2025, can we expect something despite it being a long shot? After all, Gervonta Davis has claimed that he wants to earn as much before hanging up the gloves. And who can provide him a bigger payday than Jake Paul?
