It seems that the feud between the pound-for-pound king, Canelo Alvarez, and Jake Paul has caught fire. After his last win over Avni Yildirim, Canelo Alvarez asked a couple of Paul fans to leave the ring. This did not impress the ‘Problem Child’ and he launched verbal attacks on the Mexican pugilist.

Moreover, he took it to his Instagram to take a dig at Alvarez and even branded Canelo as his ‘hater’.

“I respect all of the fighters within the sport of boxing… legends of the past, stars of the present, and prospects of the future. What I don’t respect is the haters who try to discredit what I am doing…”

“Haters like…….Canelo Alvarez….Straight m*****f***in hater….I’m two years into this sport….you have been at it for 18 years, yet my pay going up and yours is going down.. so focus on you and your brand and keep my name out of your mouth….and in a few years, maybe ill give you a chance to increase your pay again,” he wrote.

Paul didn’t just stop there. He even accused Alvarez of using steroids and competing with unknown boxers who haven’t maintained an active run in this sport. Furthermore, he asked Canelo to fight stout champions like Jermall Charlo, David Benavidez, Demetrius Andrade, Andre Ward, and more.

But, it seems that his prime focus is towards elevating his game, backing his words, and reaching the summit of boxing. That said, Paul is working magnificently for his upcoming fight against Ben Askren. Also, he’s looking to vanquish any and every naysayer from his way, no matter who it is.

In the above post, he mentioned a line for Alvarez saying, “Maybe I’ll give you a chance to increase your pay again.”

This could be interpreted as Paul challenging Alvarez. Do you envision Alvarez and Paul fighting each other in the future? What do you make of Paul’s remarks on Canelo?
