The much-awaited boxing event of 2021 between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk lived up to the massive buzz created around it. Both the hard hitters went full throttle against each other and thrilled the fans. But, it was Usyk’s night in the end as he dethroned Joshua.

Regardless of the results, this fight was bound to gather attention from fans and fighters around the globe. That said, here we look at some vital Twitter reactions that came in for this iconic event.

‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul, who was rooting for Joshua in this bout, shared his notions on Twitter.

He wrote, “Damn I’m shook I wanted Joshua to win”

Regis Prograis wrote, “AJ didn’t look good from the start. Looked kind of off.”

The undisputed super lightweight champ, Josh Taylor, wrote on Joshua’s conduct post the bell.

“Huge last round for usyk, he’s won this by a country mile. 9-3 for me. Aj show terrible body language after the final bell.” Taylor added.

The renowned female boxing stalwart, Claressa Shields, too, talked about this fight on Twitter. “Was it 9 seconds left on the clock and the bell rang?”

The boxing GOAT, Lennox Lewis, also shared his thoughts on Twitter and he praised Usyk. He wrote, “Boxing 101 – Usyk!”

‘Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya congratulated Usyk for his performance and had some words of encouragement for ‘AJ’.

He wrote, “Congratulations @usykaa keep your head up @anthonyjoshua”

Just like them, many others reacted to Joshua’s disheartening defeat to the Ukrainian boxing star.

Will there be a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk?

For now, there’s no clarity on whether there will be a rematch between the two. As of now, both men will look to heal and recover from their war.
