YouTube sensation Jake Paul has made himself a prominent figure in the boxing world. Although he hasn’t fought any of the elites, Paul’s 2-0 fight streak seems enough for him to boast himself as a professional fighter.

He will now fight former UFC contender Ben Askren on February 17 in a boxing clash, in a bid to further expand his fighting resume. While many consider him the favorite over A-listed wrestler Ben Askren, Eddie Hearn doesn’t believe the same.

While previewing the upcoming boxing matchup, the Matchroom CEO reiterated his belief that Askren knows how to fight, since he fights for a living and Jake Paul doesn’t.

Speaking with IFL TV, Hearn said, “I don’t know the Askren guy that he (Jake Paul) is fighting, I have seen a few videos. I mean he is not a striker, but he is also not a muppet. So, I don’t mind it.

“I mean Askren obviously knows how to fight again I know he is not a striker or whatever these MMA guys says he is. But he still fights for a living and Jake Paul don’t really fight for living. But now he pretends he fights for living. I mean he is incredibly disrespectful to people, but that’s his thing.”

It will be Jake Paul’s first fight with a professional fighter, as his previous opponents have been a YouTuber and a retired NBA player. However, Askren’s striking abilities aren’t on the top. He was a world-class wrestler and had been unbeaten before entering the UFC. That said, Paul has a legitimate challenge ahead, and he is confident of bagging the win.
