For the uninitiated, the YouTuber turned boxer also took a firm stance and put the whole judging system in the witness box.

The spellbinding rumble between Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall

The action-packed slugfest between the champion Josh Taylor and the WBC challenger Jack Catterall took place on 26 February 2022 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow.

The duo stepped into the jam-packed arena with high intensity. In the early minute of the round, the challenger caught the chin of the champion with the straight left cross. This clarified that the exchange of leather will not be easy for the champ.

As the fight went deeper, the dominance of ‘El Gato’ gave him a psychological advantage and he knocked ‘The Tartan Tornado’ down in the eight-round with a lethal combination. However, the Scottish fought back, but it was not enough to win the game.

However, judges favored the champion, which stunned the boxing world. The scorecard was sheer opposite to what came as the split decision victory of Josh Taylor.

The ESPN Ringside wrote, “Jack Catterall outlanded Josh Taylor in all but one round of their undisputed fight.”
