It’s almost comical. Imagine a four-division world champion with 17 years of elite ring experience stepping in against Jake Paul. By the time Jake Paul turned pro in 2020, Terence Crawford had already racked up a flawless 38-0 record with 30 knockouts. Still, The Problem Child’s rise from YouTube celebrity to legitimate boxing draw has been undeniable, especially after last year’s headline-grabbing win over Mike Tyson. With growing momentum and a taste for high-profile callouts, Paul has flirted with the idea of facing names like Anthony Joshua, Gervonta Davis, and even Canelo Alvarez. Though none of those bouts materialized, Jake Paul isn’t slowing down. And now, he’s set to face Julio César Chávez Jr. on June 28th.  And after that fight? It seems he’s already got his eyes on a new challenge

Just moments ago, Jake Paul’s MVP shared a post on Instagram. “Jake Paul addresses recent Terrence Crawford interview with Shannon Sharpe, where Crawford said he would fight Jake Paul for $200 million 🤯 Crawford is currently weighing 187 pounds. Who wins?” the caption read.

In the post, The Problem Child made an announcement. “Terence Crawford, you just made my bit-h list,” the 11-1 boxer said. But why? “Come on now bro… All these pound for pound fighters that you too scared to fight me they need $200 million to do it. Pu–y!” Jake Paul said, mid-combo, as he hammered the heavy bag in the gym. And not just that.

Taking a dig at the NFL Hall of Famer as well, he said, “And Shannon Sharpe you can get it too. No choking though.” But why? If you’re wondering where that came from, it all traces back to last month, when Terence Crawford sat down for an interview with Shannon Sharpe.

Everything’s possible when Jake Paul brings the bag

After his loss last November, Mike Tyson walked away with a $20 million payday, but the toll went beyond money. It took months for the former heavyweight champion to recover physically, and emotionally, he admitted to feeling “kind of depressed” in the aftermath, missing the rush that came with preparing for a fight. For Tyson’s fans, the bout was tough to stomach, watching their icon fall to an opponent many felt wasn’t worthy. Even Terence Crawford, one of boxing’s pound-for-pound best, seemed to feel the sting of that moment, too.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Jake Paul really take on Terence Crawford, or is this just another publicity stunt?

Have an interesting take?

“I don’t want to spread no rumors.“But Tyson shouldn’t have been there at all.” Terence Crawford said during an April 24 appearance on Club Shay Shay. “In no way, shape, or form or fashion should Jake Paul ever be able to say he [beat Mike Tyson]. Mike Tyson is old, old enough to be my dad. He shouldn’t have been in there.”

Clearly, the Omaha native wasn’t impressed by Paul’s decision to fight a boxing legend well past his prime. But what if the undefeated, pound-for-pound star found himself across the ring from ‘The Problem Child’?

At first, Terence Crawford dismissed the idea outright, citing the size difference. “Nah, nah. He [is] too big… But he’s doing his thing,” he said. Then Shannon Sharpe tossed out a wild scenario: $200 million on the line.

To which Crawford’s tone shifted instantly. Laughing, he replied, “I am fighting Jake Paul.” Turns out, for the right price, anything’s on the table. And the Tyson-Paul fight proved exactly that. So if Terence Crawford vs. Jake Paul ever became a reality… would you tune in?
