The highly anticipated fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is floating in the air for years but could not reach fruition. At the beginning of this year, the duo hinted that they were ready to land the fight by the end of this year. However, more than half a year has passed, and there are no signs of talk between the two about the fight.

‘The Problem Child’, who is going to test his skills against one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time, Anderson Silva on October 29 called out Tyson again.

Speaking to the media ahead of his fight, Paul said, “Mike Tyson, that would be crazy, yeah. And I have so much respect for him. He’s another one of my idols. And I think he said he wanted to do the fight. Mike, where you at, bro? Let’s make it happen.”

Do you think Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul is possible this year?

Earlier this year, Tyson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and showed interest in fighting with YouTuber turned controversial prizefighter, Paul.

He said, “That could be very interesting. I never really took it serious, but yeah, it could be really interesting. Everything is possible, yeah. But it gotta happen this year. It gotta happen this year.”

The 5-0 boxer, who had never faced a legitimate fighter before responded to it. He took to social media and praised Tyson for doing so.

The entire build for this fight was going smooth. But as of now, it does not seem that this fight could happen. Though Paul is ready, Tyson is not in a position to take a shot with his declining health condition. He is dealing with ‘Sciatica Flare up’. A few weeks back, he was spotted in a wheelchair at International Miami Airport.

With such severe health issues, the possibility of Tyson getting back in the ring with Paul is low.
