Mayweather previously faced Paul’s brother, Logan Paul at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida on June 6, 2021. The non-scored bout was a one-sided affair with Mayweather having the upper hand. However, it should be mentioned that the fight still went the entire distance.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Mayweather called out the younger Paul. He mentioned that Paul’s sensational performances were due to him fighting non-boxers.

Mayweather further added, “He’ll get f***ed up by Canelo. There is no way. He’ll get demolished. For what he’s doing, as long as they keep getting YouTubers and keep putting him in there with MMA guys that’s kind of over the hill, he’s going continue to shine.”

During the presser, the younger Paul confronted Mayweather, in what seemed like a plan to get his own fight booked with the champ. He even taunted Mayweather saying, “Get Al Haymon out here. Let me call Al Haymon, let’s make it happen.”

Paul then proceeded to snatch Mayweather’s hat and dip into the crowd. Chaos ensued and Mayweather gave chase, and an altercation took place.
