How is Jake Paul in this position in the sport when he is only 24 years old and has only 4 fights on his professional record?

Among other obvious things like his ability to bring fresh eyes to the sport, there is one critical thing that he is doing right – fight.

So far, he has cherry-picked all of his opponents. Regardless of who he has fought up to this point, he has still managed to entertain fans and fight more than most pro-boxers who hardly fight once a year.

Ahead of the fight, Paul recently posted a sit-down video serial entrepreneur and his business partner, Geoffrey Woo. Earlier this year, Paul launched a rolling fund, ‘The Anti-Fund’ with Geoffrey Woo, founder of nutrition startup H.V.M.N.

They’ve already received heavy backing by Silicon Valley heavyweights and VC behemoths Marc Andreessen and Chris Dixon. In the new video that Paul released on a channel called ‘Jake Paul Random’, Paul and Woo spoke at length about the different areas in which they’ve invested in.

Here’s a look at six new ventures in Jake Paul’s investment portfolio co-managed by Geoffrey Woo-

SimpleBet

Being a big name in the sport of boxing, Jake Paul is now naturally inclined towards certain ventures that deal in that domain.

SimpleBet is one of those ventures that is now creating a dent in the sports-betting space. This is not just another betting service, what sets it apart from the rest of the market is that SimpleBet allows users to place wagers on small individual moments in sports events.

Jake Paul is a proponent of micro-betting; his ‘Anti-Fund’ recently led a $30 million financing round along with former UFC executive Nakisa Bidarian, who now runs talent advisory firm Bavafa Sports.

Alchemy

Founded by Stanford University graduates Nikil Viswanathan and Joe Lau, Alchemy is now paving the way for blockchain technology development.

Alchemy provides a blockchain development platform, powering millions of users in 197 countries worldwide. According to their website,  mission is to provide developers with the fundamental building blocks they need to create the future of technology.

Apart from just facilitating billions of blockchain-supported transactions for top companies around the world, Alchemy has also caught the attention of influencers like Jake Paul. Alchemy also coordinates with influencers and celebrities to facilitate their NFT drops.

The San Francisco-based company recently even announced a $250 million funding round, boosting its valuation to $3.5 billion.

Efinity

Geoffrey Woo broke down the concept of Efinity. He explained that Efinity has developed a new blockchain protocol that is an essential component of NFTs in general.

Efinity is building a new blockchain in the polkadot ecosystem. These are the people that made the ERC-1155 protocol, so they invented the protocol behind what even NFTs are.

“This is a team that actually invented one of the key protocols that other projects are using and they have a new blockchain called efinity that we’ve been also early backers on.

“So, check that out, especially for project creators, when you’re choosing blockchains, that’s a potentially very interesting one as the polkadot ecosystem and the multi-blockchain universe kind of pans out,” explained Geoffrey Woo.

Wilder World

Wilder World is a platform that is pro-actively working towards developing a digital ecosystem or a ‘metaverse’ that is  powered by non-fungible tokens. It is an immersive five-dimensional ‘metaverse’ built on Ethereum, Unreal Engine 5, ZERO and NFTs.

It’s a project far more ambitious than any single artist could create on their own and by assembling the world’s best 3D artists to collaborate on stories, characters, landscapes, and environments. I can’t wait to promote my first 3D immersive fight in the Metaverse,” said Jake Paul.

The Wilder World website even has a separate section dedicated to Jake Paul’s involvement in the venture –

Jake is a huge supporter of Wilder World and our vision for a fully interactive, immersive Metaverse. He’s bringing the project and our Wheels NFT drop to an audience of millions, helping us cross over into brand new territory as we continue to evolve and grow the Wilder Nation“.

Bit.Country

Bit.Country is  a platform specifically designed for allowing users to create personalized metaverses, has received $4 million in investments during its first funding round.

Among the participants of the funding event were Web3 pioneers, gaming industry leaders, influencers (including Jake Paul), and 56 other metaverse supporters from around the world.
