But who among these two really has a better track record and who is more accomplished?

Among the duo, Herring has more wins and is more experienced. ‘Semper Fi’s track record stands at 23 wins with 2 losses. His last loss came in 2017 and he is on a seven-fight win streak. Hence, Herring is definitely in his prime and is much more accomplished. That being said, ‘Fearless’ isn’t an ordinary contender.

Stevenson has 16 wins and 8 out of those have arrived via T/KO. The 24-year-old is an aggressive fighter who looks to finish his opponents in the first few rounds.

But, in his last fight against Jeremiah Nakathila, Stevenson bagged a UD win and showed his versatility and adaptability to situations. This will have primed him for a fight against Herring, as he could be expected to box for 36 minutes to become the champion.

Shakur Stevenson vs Jamel Herring – What to expect?

Stevenson vs Herring’s clash can go to the last bell because ‘Semper Fi’ is more of a tactical fighter than a finisher. That said, Stevenson might have a hard time in figuring out his fight style in the initial rounds.

But if the duo really enters a brawl in the initial rounds, then Stevenson might be the favorite to win, as he needs just one hit to close the show.

However, it is hard to predict anything at this moment. Hence, it’ll be interesting to see how this fight plays out.
