Jermell Charlo Gets Candid About Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield: ‘They Were F**king Sh*t When They Were of My Age’

The unified WBC, WBA, IBF, and Ring magazine light middleweight titleholder, Jermell Charlo, interacted with EsNews. While driving his car, he talked about various things, including the boxing greats like Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and beyond.

Jermell accepted the fact that he met these legends in person. During the interview, Charlo revealed that he has grown up watching the legendary boxer Evander Holyfield. Moreover, he is of the opinion that he watched the former heavyweight champ, Evander Holyfield, his whole life.

Charlo then went on to talk about how these stalwarts were very different when they were young.
The 31-year-old said, “oh no, they wasn’t humble when they was my age. They was a f**king s**t, a f**king s**t when they was my age. So, I’m humble. I’m humble man and like a humble mean kid a lot of things mean so much this and that I’m humble as hell.”
Further explaining the definition of being humble, he added, “I’m not here flashing money in case I’ve thousands of dollars in my house in my pocket and s*. I’m doing all that s** man. All that investments, we buy houses we try to get hotels we trynna live our future. That’s being humble.”
Jermell Charlo is vocal about his opinion, and with due respect, he opened up in this interview.

The duo of Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are famous for landing the infamous fight in the history of boxing. The pair collided on June 28, 1997, for the WBA heavyweight title.
But this did not turn out well as expectations. In the 3rd round of the fight, Mike Tyson bit ear of Holyfield twice, which eventually led to the disqualification of ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’. Since then, the pair whenever the pair comes in highlight reminds of this clash.
