Interestingly, fans have mixed opinions on Canelo’s current fighting style compared to his past performances. One fan notes that Canelo has stopped jabbing and moving his head as much as he used to, particularly during his chase for undisputed status at 168. As the fan writes, “For some reason- Canelo stopped jabbing and moving his head a lot during his chase for undisputed at 168. He now relies too much on the high guard and his power. I miss the Canelo that beat Daniel Jacobs.”

Conversely, another fan believes that Canelo’s body shot could be Charlo’s downfall, stating, “That same body shot gon put Charlo down.” However, they also acknowledge that some tactics used by Canelo’s sparring partner could actually be effective against him, describing a particular body shot as “crazy hard.” As the fan notes, “That was a crazy hard body shot. Funny though that some of what the sparring partner is doing is actually how you beat Canelo.” Next, another fan highlighted the need for Canelo to improve his head movement. He said, “He needs to work on the head movement more and the fundamentals just like how he did in the Daniel Jacob’s fight.”

Then, a fan points out that Canelo has become slower, which may not bode well for him. He writes, “Canelo became very slow, it’s not good for him. Charlo has good chances to win!”
