Joe Joyce is training for Oleksandr Usyk

After his victory over ‘Dynamite’, he called out fellow heavyweight contender and amateur rival Oleksandr Usyk. The undefeated fighters have been on a collision course to face each other ever since Usyk out-boxed Joyce in the amateurs.

Now, because of the potential Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight, the two contenders could battle it out for the mandatory spot. Usyk is Joshua’s WBO belt mandatory, while Joyce ranks #2 on the WBO list.

Therefore, it would make sense for all parties if the two could make this fight, as the highly anticipated Joshua-Fury fight could go ahead, while Joyce and Usyk get the chance to prove their worthiness for the heavyweight title.

Although it would be a very different fight when compared to Dubois, it would still be a fantastic match-up between two world-class boxers. Moreover, give the history between the two and the contrasting fighting styles, it could be a fight of the year contender.

If they two were to get in the ring, who do you think would win?
