12-0 as a pro, Joe Joyce has achieved 11 of those wins via KO. However, he is yet to fight for the world title. A win over Takam might be his ticket to that status. Meanwhile, the heavyweight division is messed up at the point. Joyce was initially rumored to face Oleksandr Usyk in a WBO title eliminator, while Fury vs Joshua was in process of a unification battle.

Nevertheless, Takam is currently on a four-fight win streak. After losing back-to-back against Anthony Joshua and Dereck Chisora, the 40-year-old has successfully found his winning ways. Although Joe Joyce would bring a sheer challenge in the ring, a shocking win will be extremely beneficial for Takam. Hence, the nearing collision would determine the fate of both the fighters.
