UFC commentator and renowned podcaster Joe Rogan has lashed out at Deontay Wilder for making “excuses.” Rogan in conversation with MMA analyst Luke Thomas shared his thoughts on Wilder’s recent tweets where he accused Tyson Fury of multiple counts. Rogan broke down all the excuses that Wilder has made ever since his seventh-round TKO loss to Tyson Fury, which saw him drop the WBC heavyweight championship.

“He has released three different excuses. The first one was the weight vest. The thing that he was wearing. The crazy costume which weighed around 40-pounds apparently, that wore his legs out.” Rogan said.

Earlier, soon after the loss, Wilder had claimed that the “40-pound suit” he had worn during the walk-out wore his legs before the bout.

The next one was Fury’s gloves…were not attached correctly, so his gloves were extended. So he was hitting him with the knuckles.” Rogan continued, “Not correct, not true. Easily provable.”

Wilder insinuated that the British heavyweight tampered with his gloves in both the bouts. He accused Fury of adding egg-weights in his boxing gloves that left a dent on his skull. Additionally, he claimed that Fury scratched the skin off his ears, which eventually bled his ears.

“The next one he said is egg weights. He said he had egg weights. This is recent. A couple of days ago. Then yesterday there was an article that said he believes his water was poisoned and Mark Breland was part of that.”

Wilder, in a series of tweets, also blamed his former trainer Mark Breland. While many had credited Breland for throwing in the towel, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ criticized Breland for his move and called him, “disloyal.

Joe Rogan feels the first bout helped Tyson Fury solve the Deontay Wilder puzzle

Tyson Fury got up after a brutal knockdown in round 12, which led many to believe that Wilder had done enough to hand Fury his first professional loss. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ finished the round on a strong note as he took the fight head-on against a lethal puncher like ‘The Bronze Bomber.’ Fury came into the second bout with the same approach to grab the heavyweight gold.

“I think if you go back and look at the first fight and look at how Tyson Fury was dropped in the twelfth. He rose like Lazarus, came back and survived, and start to win the round. I think he realized at that moment that to beat this guy, is to back him up.” Rogan said.

Needless to say, all the claims against Tyson Fury can be examined. However, the commission might not go to such lengths after eight months because of mere claims from the former champion. Earlier, Fury had stated that the contract promising a trilogy bout has already expired. This means that a potential Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 remains uncertain.
