2021 was perhaps a dreadful year for the modern-day heavyweight icon, Anthony Joshua. He fought only once last year, wherein he was set to defend his titles against Oleksandr Usyk and advance his chances for an undisputed title fight ahead. However, Usyk poured cold water on his plans by giving him his second career loss.

With that, the Briton also lost his hard-earned heavyweight straps. Since then, many boxing biggies criticized ‘AJ’ over enormous junctures. A veteran boxing trainer even asserted about Joshua accepting defeat too easily.
Recently, Joe Rogan, alongside George Kambosos Jr., questioned Joshua’s ability to bounce back.

Rogan asked Kambosos Jr., “Do you think when a guy gets so thoroughly outboxed like that, and almost put away in the 12th. Do you think that’s quick to come back from a fight like that?”

Anthony Joshua tried hard, but nothing went in his favor in the Usyk bout. ‘The Cat’ confused the big man with his constant and quick movements. Also, it was in round 12, when Usyk almost knocked Joshua out.

In all, Joshua couldn’t give his best in the ring that night. But he triggered the rematch clause with Usyk and Joshua will now face his rival by April or May.

Is Anthony Joshua really stepping aside to let Oleksandr Usyk fight Tyson Fury?
In a video surfacing on the internet, Joshua asserted, “I ain’t seen no contract. So as it stands, stop listening to the bulls**t until it comes from me. I am the man in control of my destiny, I am the man that handles my business. I’m a smart individual and I make calculated decisions every step of the way. Don’t listen to the bulls**t from other sources.”

With the above statements, it’s clear that Joshua isn’t giving a second thought about moving aside to let Usyk vs Fury happen.
