UFC commentator Joe Rogan has been a combat sports enthusiast for a long time. Although he mainly analyzes the sport of MMA, he has been a boxing fan for a long time. Rogan often gives his insights on boxers and other fighters on his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ which is undoubtedly the most popular podcast in the world.

Moreover, in a recent episode, the former ‘Fear Factor’ host had high praise for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. According to Rogan, Fury was the most marketable boxer, along with Canelo Alvarez, and also claimed that his accomplishments were on par with the other heavyweight legends.
“With Tyson Fury being the king, he’s so marketable and he’s so extraordinary and his accomplishments. The fact that he beat Deontay Wilder. Everybody gets knocked out by Deontay Wilder. He’s the only one who gets off the deck to beat him and then stops him in the third fight.” said Rogan

Moreover, he added that ‘The Gypsy King’ was a monster in his own right and deserved to mention alongside heavyweight legends like Mike Tyson and Joe Louis. “I mean dude Tyson Fury is a fu***g monster. One of the greatest heavyweights of all time unquestioned. If he retires today Tyson Fury is down as one of the all-time greatest heavyweights. He deserves to be mentioned with Joe Lewis and Mike Tyson. Like what would happen if those guys would get together and fight Lennox Lewis in his prime? He’s on that level. He’s so good, he’s so big.” He added.

Rogan certainly seems to be impressed by Fury, who has come under a lot of criticism for his next fight. The Gypsy King is set to face Derek Chisora in his next bout to complete their trilogy. The bout will take place on December 3 at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. It was booked after Fury’s talks with Anthony Joshua for a potential bout fell through.
However, many feel that Fury could have opted for another option instead of facing ‘Del Boy’ for the third time. Despite that, Fury’s resume certainly is on par with some of the heavyweight greats and will go down as one of the best to ever lace up his gloves.
