Joseph Diaz has emerged as a new sensation in the lightweight division ever since he’s won the WBC interim lightweight title. He now wants to face the best contenders in the division and subsequently, go for a title shot. For now, the one adversary which he’s vehemently waiting to face is the ex-WBC interim champ, Ryan Garcia.
Garcia has gone out of action ever since his last blistering performance against Luke Campbell. The pair fought for the WBC interim lightweight title. And ‘King Ry’ came out on top to win this bout alongside the belt.
But due to inactivity and no title defenses, Garcia got stripped, and he is just a prime contender in the division.
