The world of boxing is set to witness a title fight in the super-lightweight division— Josh Taylor gears up to defend his WBO title against Teofimo Lopez. Both Taylor and Lopez are going to earn millions for this fight notwithstanding the outcome. As per, “Insidesport”, Taylor is contractually signed to Boston Red Sox which guarantees him a sum of $1,025,000 per year. Furthermore, he also has a share in the PPV’s sales.

Lopez, on the other hand, is guaranteed a sum of $1.5 million, plus a share of the revenue from pay-per-view sales. Although the Pay-per-view share is not disclosed, it would be fair to say that despite Taylor being the champion— Lopez might take home a bigger purse given his guaranteed money.
