“Joshua Don’t Deserve It Anymore”: Boxing World Reacts as Eddie Hearn Tries to Keep Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury Alive

The Tyson Fury Vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight is the heavyweight matchup of the century. Both fighters have shown interest in fighting each other on numerous occasions. The fight is an opportunity for both fighters to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Currently, Fury is the WBC heavyweight champion, whereas Usyk holds the WBA, WBO, IBF, and the ring magazine heavyweight titles. This bout is one of the most anticipated fights in the boxing world. Both are rumored to fight at Wembley stadium on 29th April.

In a recent interview, Eddie Hearn gave a sneak of Tyson Fury’s next opponent if Usyk doesn’t fight him. According to Hearn, Anthony Joshua will be next to fight Fury.

In an interview with IFLTV, Eddie Hearn Talked about Fury’s backup opponent if the fight with Usyk fails to be finalized. Anthony Joshua is the potential replacement for Usyk in a fight with Fury. Moreover, Hearn added, “Don’t be surprised to see that fight in the summer if the other one doesn’t happen. That’s much bigger than the Usyk fight, much bigger.”

Initially, Fury and Usyk were supposed to fight in Saudi Arabia, but that is off the table as the authorities could not ensure the completion of the stadium on time where the fight was to be held. Now, the fight is headed toward Wembley, and both parties are yet to announce the fight officially.

Anthony Joshua hasn’t had any luck with his last 5 fights, of which, he lost 3. He lost his last fight to ‘The Cat’ in 2022 via a split decision. However, the brit is scheduled to fight Jermaine Franklin in April. Joshua has not made any statements regarding his potential fight against Fury yet.
