Dillian Whyte has been famous for being a no-nonsense boxer throughout his career. This has gotten him into several rivalries, including one with unified champion Anthony Joshua. The two shared an eventful history, and ‘The Body Snatcher’ has now lashed out at him.

Whyte will take on Alexander Povetkin in a rematch which will greatly influence his title shot. However, ahead of his rematch, he has noticed Joshua’s comments and given his brutally honest assessment.

The 27-2 boxer spoke to iFL TV on YouTube and said, “He’s a funny one. When I lost, he was saying all this and now he’s like, ‘oh I was gutted for Dillian, I wanted him to win but…’ Joshua just says whatever he thinks the media wants him to.”

This came as a result of ‘AJ’ recently saying he felt bad for Whyte’s unlucky loss in the first meeting against Povetkin. However, ‘The Body Snatcher’ is having none of it, and with his comments, accused Joshua of pleasing the media.

Dillian Whyte says Anthony Joshua can do and say what he wants

‘The Body Snatcher’ made no recognition of Joshua’s apparent kind words towards him. This showed that the Londoner paid no attention to what his rival said, and he reiterated the same.

“Who gives a f**k what Joshua says or thinks, man? Who cares? I don’t care. Literally, I don’t care. He can say what he wants, do what he wants, he can do one if it’s up to me,” said Whyte.

Therefore, these comments from the outspoken Brit gave an insight into his mindset before the crucial fight. He has previously stated that his full focus is on beating ‘Russian Vityaz’ and nothing else. Thus, it is no surprise to see him disregard ‘AJ’s comments.

However, this also showed that there is still something brewing between the two boxers despite their fight having gone down almost six years ago. Fans will hope that the rematch between the two Brits will be possible in the future.
