The potential welterweight clash between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford has become the talk of the town. Boxing enthusiasts, experts, and many fighters want to see them collide at least once. However, the fight isn’t reaching terms largely due to to Spence Jr’s purse disagreements.
Recently, Joe Joyce’s manager, Sam Jones, shared his opinion on whether the fight should be a 50-50 purse or more amount should be allotted to either fighter. Speaking to Behind The Gloves, he said, “Yeah, I do believe that,”
He even compared this fight to that of Joshua vs Fury, where the fighters have agreed to a 50-50 split.

“Joshua could say ‘Well I want a bigger (paycheck),’ even though Joshua’s lost to Ruiz, he can do that but Joshua was saying ‘no’. Look, they both come together and the deal I understand is 50-50, everything down the middle, that’s what those two guys (Crawford and Spence) should do,” Jones added.

Jones believes Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. will bag vibrant paychecks if they compete now. Both are in their prime and once they get past it, there may be regret all around.
Just like Sam Jones, many other boxing stars feel that Crawford and Spence Jr. should keep their legacy aspirations on top and contend with each other soon.
