

Mexican super-flyweight champion, Juan Francisco Estrada, has revealed his plans for the massive unification bout against Roman Gonzalez. The champion said he has prepared to knock out the Nicaraguan.
Estrada will face Gonzalez in a highly anticipated rematch over eight years after the pair first fought. This time around, the 41-3 boxer has no intentions of leaving the fight to the judges. Instead, he wants to win convincingly.

This showed his elite mindset of wanting to take matters into his hands. The first meeting between the two went to the judges’ scorecards. And although ‘Chocolatito’ took home a unanimous decision, it was closer than the scorecards showed.

Despite wanting the knockout, the 30-year-old has the experience to know it won’t always happen. However, the champion has a plan for the fight if he cannot knock out his Nicaraguan counterpart.
He said, “If the knockout doesn’t come, then we’re going to fight the 12 rounds intelligently to get the clear win.”
Thus, ‘El Gallo’ revealed his intention to dominate Roman Gonzalez throughout the fight to ensure that the people that matter hand him a unanimous decision.

This comment also showed that Estrada would not go out all guns blazing to get the knockout. Instead, he will stick to the game-plan to dominate ‘Chocolatito’ and push for the knockout when he sees the opportunity.
However, this will be a difficult task as Gonzalez is a tough contender and will pose a threat of his own. Therefore, this makes for an intriguing fight between the two champions.
