While Dmitry Bivol felt devastated after losing the biggest fight of his career against Artur Beterbiev on Saturday, his ex-wife, Ekaterina, celebrated it like the best thing ever to happen. Bivol and Beterbiev went the distance in their historic fight and the latter came out as the undisputed champion after his first victory via decision.

Ekaterina, who has been vocal about her disdain for his ex-husband, was rooting for Beterbiev throughout this rivalry. As the 33-year-old boxer suffered the first-ever defeat of his professional career, a clip of Ekaterina went viral on social media where she was enthusiastically celebrating Beterbiev’s win during her live stream alongside MMA fighter Artem Tarasov.

Ekaterina Bivol’s wildest celebration

Ekaterina burst out with joy as soon as the result of the fight was announced and Beterbiev was declared the winner. She started shouting “Artur, Artur! Karma caught up with him (Bivol)” at the top of her lungs. She kept repeating the same line for a while before taking a huge sigh of relief.

Ekaterina later uploaded a video on her social media with a slightly calmer tone. But the sheer joy was visible on her face as she was not able to control her smile while declaring that the loss was because of the California resident’s bad karma over the years and it has finally caught up to him. “Well guys, karma caught up with that a***ole,” stated Ekaterina with a big smile on her face.

She also made sure to rub the loss further as she congratulated Beterbiev on his victory. “Artur, Artur, I am happy for you,” stated Ekaterina before dropping a bombshell, “Now my fight is in court,” indicating that Bivol still has a war to go through. The ex-couple is currently having a dispute regarding alimony, and the matter is in court.

Dmitry Bivol’s upcoming legal battle

Dmitry Bivol’s relationship with his ex-wife started to deteriorate rapidly after his fight with Canelo Alvarez in 2022. According to Ekaterina, Bivol’s newfound fame changed him as a person, and that resulted in a separation a year later. The couple’s life changed after their move to California, where Bivol allegedly stranded his wife and kids for five months.

In October 2023, Ekaterina came out and accused the 23-1 boxer of domestic violence and shared several pictures as evidence. She further stated that it was Bivol’s idea to live separately but remain legally married to protect his image as a boxer when things got bad.

But the couple legally separated in 2023, and Ekaterina got custody of her kids. However, since then, Ekaterina has accused Bivol of financial neglect and revealed that he only pays “$1,100 per month for both kids.” She even stated that Dmitry Bivol is “hiding his foreign bank accounts,” to pay her far less than what she deserves. Earlier, there were no indications of this matter being formally dealt with in court, but with the latest clip, Ekaterina has made it clear that she would go to court to demand more alimony.
