Matchroom Director Eddie Hearn has teased a re-match between Katie Taylor and Jessica McCaskill, posing two unified World Champions against each other. Meanwhile, welterweight titleholder McCaskill has also demanded the fight, after defending her belts against Cecilia Braekhus on March 3rd.

That said, Eddie Hearn has envisioned a move up to 140 lbs for Katie Taylor and re-match the current welterweight champion for her belts.

He connected with Fino boxing and talked about several things in addition to the updates on a potential fight between Taylor and McCaskill.

Speaking on it, Eddie Hearn told, “I think both of those fights are exciting you know. Katie Taylor would love to step up and fight for the welterweight undisputed championship.

“I mean she struggles to get to 140 but Jessica was at 140. So we could do the fight at 141, 142, like those kind of numbers.”

Nevertheless, Eddie Hearn also hailed Jessica McCaskill for her recent achievements. Despite facing two early losses in her career, ‘casKILLA’ has turned out to be one of the best boxers of the generation. So, Hean billed her as a legitimate threat, citing a blockbuster rematch ahead for the fans.

“Jessica should be really proud of herself. Because she has really come up from the blind side. Like she had a loss early in her career, then she flew to London to fight Katie Taylor early in her career.

“And she is not technically gifted quite honestly. She is just really tough. She has got a great engine and she is horrible to fight. Because she won’t leave you alone,” told Eddie Hearn.
