“Kell Brook Thought You Tried to Kill Him”: Fans Rejoice as UKAD States Contamination of Drugs Found in Amir Khan’s System Had No Effect Whatsoever

Fans of the UK boxer Amir Khan are in for some good news. In the latest twist in the Amir Khan doping scandal, the UK Anti-Doping Agency (UKAD) has announced that the drug contamination found in Khan’s system had no effect whatsoever. The 36-year-old boxer had previously denied any wrongdoing after testing positive for a banned substance following his fight with Kell Brook in February 2022.

Following Amir Khan’s latest post, his supporters are ecstatic and lauding his exoneration. However, as the aftermath of this recent disclosure subsides, doubts still linger regarding the broader repercussions of doping in athletics and the significance of fair play in the sport of boxing.

Fans of Amir Khan took to social media to express their support and admiration for the boxer after he successfully defended himself against allegations of cheating in his professional boxing career. One fan, @eddieb786, found the situation amusing and even suggested that Khan should tease his fellow boxer Kell Brook by tagging him in the post, saying “Tag Kelly Brook in this 😂 he thought you tried to kill him 🤣”.

Another fan, @izahid1986, called out the haters and urged people to focus on spreading positive news, saying “Haters rest in peace ✌️ why do people find a negative thing & spread it hope this positive news now gets shared too….”

Similarly, @leonconsta showed unwavering support for Khan and his legacy in the sport of boxing, saying “No one can’t question what you done for the sport off boxing. I’m glad you can post this a clear your name. The only people questioning this situation are haters or people trying to stay relevant. Your legacy is firmly intact 100% love this champ 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.”

Finally, @maz07866 affirmed Khan’s innocence and integrity, saying “Anybody reading the facts knows he is and has always been clean ❤️”. 

Through their reactions on social media, it’s clear that his supporters are relieved and happy to see that he has been cleared of any wrongdoing. However, this raises the question of why allegations like this are still being made in the sport of boxing, and what can be done to prevent them in the future?
