Klitschko Brothers Ask Canelo Alvarez to Call Off His Fight Against Russian Opponent: Don King

Don King is one of the most recognized boxing promoters in the world. The 90-year-old has significantly promoted legendary boxers like Mike Tyson. In his recent interview, he opens up on a telephonic conversation he had with the Klitschko brothers.

Subsequently, he revealed that the brothers asked him to ask Canelo Alvarez to abstain from his fight against his Russian opponent.

Amidst the crisis between the two countries, some Ukrainian boxers have taken up arms. In addition, the Klitschko brothers are asking people of the boxing fraternity to support them in other ways.

In a recent interview with ‘FightHype.com’, Don King reveals his telephonic conversation with the Klitschko brothers.

“The Klitschko brothers, Vitaly and Wladimir they sent me words, you know I mean, that uh, that uh, to tell Canelo don’t fight with Bivol uh, because that guy is a Russian and Klitschko don’t support Russia.”

Don King narrates the message that Klitschko sent him. According to the Klitschko brothers, Alvarez must not fight Dmitry Bivol in his upcoming fight. Therefore, he must cancel the fight to show his support.

Klitschko brothers have requested the boxing fraternity to support them. Likewise, they want the support of Alvarez by canceling his bout against the Russian fighter.

The match between Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol is catching good hype as Alvarez is an undisputed super middleweight champion, whereas Bivol hasn’t lost yet.

Alvarez will face Bivol on May 7, which is a couple of months away. He intends to snatch the WBA title from Bivol in this match.

This match is the first match of Alvarez’s contract with the matchroomboxing. In this contract, Alvarez will earn around $160 Million.

But will he cancel the match against the Russian pugilist, which has so much of rewards in the pot?
