Kubrat Pulev took on Frank Mir in the main event of Triller’s Triad Combat. Triller scheduled the fight for 2 nine-minute rounds for the Triller Championship belt. The bout took place in Arlington, Texas, in front of a packed crowd of 20,000 people for Triller’s new event, which they call the evolution of boxing.

The fight started out with Frank Mir closing the distance and clinching, which favors him as an MMA fighter. Mir fought pretty smartly at the beginning, not allowing Pulev to open up his arms or land anything significant. However, in the very first round itself, Mir was tiring, as he let his hands down and could not hit Pulev with any significant punches.

Pulev put on the pressure and kept charging, connecting with combos. Towards the end of the round, ‘Kobrata’ began unloading a flurry of punches. Mir was unable to reply to any of these punches as he kept getting caught between his guard. With less than 15 seconds to go in the round, Pulev caught Mir with a one-two combo that had him wobbling.

Frank Mir’s legs gave out, and Pulev landed another combo, a left hook, and an uppercut. Mir was out on his feet. The referee tried to give Mir a chance, since the round was about to end. However, as Mir was not in his senses, the referee called a stop to the fight. Hence, Kubrat Pulev won via first-round knockout and became the Triller champion.

Frank Mir vs Kubrat Pulev knock out baffles fans and commentators

The main event of Triller’s fight card for Triad Combat more than delivered to the hype. Although Kubrat Pulev made quick work of his American opponent, the fashion by which he won is very unusual. From the first time the bell rang, it was clear which of the two fighters was in shape. Pulev was just too sharp, strong, and accurate for Mir to handle.
